Holy Trinity Church, Desborough, Altar during Lent
Holy Trinity Church, Lent 2013

Traditionally the churches of the parish are now draped in purple, in the first place to cover the splendour of the images and statues in preparation for the glory of Easter – but also remembering purple as a colour of quiet and contemplation, as we follow Jesus on the Way of the Cross.
We have a traditional forty hours of prayer from Wednesday 6.00am (Mass) through to the Thursday evening service of reconciliation at St. Edward’s Church. Please sign up for a half-hour of watching if you can, or pop into church for prayer, as we pray for our own intentions and the needs of so many.
