Pastoral Notes 30th October, 2016

On 1st November we remember all the Christian examples gone before us, perhaps our patron saint from baptism, encouraging us on our way. On 2nd November we pray for the faithful departed, also full of hope, remembering God’s mercy. These days are for the present. They encourage us now in living our faith, that Christ welcomes us today, and is our way now. On All Souls Day we particularly remember all those who have died in the past year, and their names are read out, including infants. God cherishes us at every stage of our lives, and we seek to do the same.
