Pastoral Notes 2nd August 2015

Pope Francis has taken some key themes of Catholic teaching concerning social justice, the Common Good and the promotion of a ‘culture of life’ and building on St Francis of Assisi and many others, has sought to show how these themes are all inseparable from, and bound in to, our human relationships with Creation (The Environment) and responsibility for its nurture and health. Our place within Creation, as well as in heaven, is intrinsic to who we are as human beings.
The need is for us all now to integrate this insight ever more deeply in to our own faith and practice. As we do so, with Christ, we may discover many friends along the way, both inside the Church and also on its margins.
