Parish Group Page: The Parish Choir

Meetings: Thursday evenings 8.15-9.30 pm either at Paul Murphy's house or at the church.

The choir usually sings on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.30am Mass at St. Edward's and enhances other liturgical and parish events throughout the year. It also meets socially through the year. A 6 monthly timetable of all practices and liturgical celebrations is available to members and clergy from Paul Murphy. The choir is available to sing at weddings and other events.

The Parish Choir welcomes new members. We are currently seeking to recruit male voices especially tenor and bass. All aspiring members will be asked to undertake an audition to determine their vocal range and level of skill. Some aspiring new members may need to wait until a vacancy exists for some voices.

Parish Group Page: St. Edward's Children's Choir

Meetings: The children's choir meets on Thursday lunchtime 12.45 - 1.20pm at St. Edward's School and after school on Mondays 3.15 - 4pm at St. Thomas More School. There are monthly practices at the church on a Friday or Saturday afternoon before each of the Sunday Masses throughout the school year. The children's choir is open to children who are in Year One and above. It sings at 10.30am Mass at St. Edward's on the 1st Sunday of the month.

The music group play on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 10.30am Mass at St. Edward's. There are no rehearsals. New Instrumentalists (about grade 2+ standard and aged 10 and above) are welcome. Please arrive by 9.45am to prepare for Mass. If you provide your details the hymn numbers can be sent in advance by text or e-mail.

The music group play each Sunday at 9.00 am Mass. There are no rehearsals. New instrumentalists and singers are welcomed.
