Diary of Events

This diary of events covers the Northamptonshire Roman Catholic Diocesan churches of St. Edward’s, Kettering; St. Bernadette’s, Rothwell; Holy Trinity, Desborough and St. Nicholas Owen, Burton Latimer. Please come and join us for any of these events. December 2011

Thursday 1st December. Advent Holy Hour – 7.30-8.30pm. A quiet time at the beginning of this new season and new Church Year.

Saturday 10th December. Advent Retreat 2011 – St Thomas More Primary School, Northampton Road, NN15 7JZ from 10am-3pm, for anyone interested in growing in their faith and spending some time in prayerful reflection during the season of Advent. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee provided. To book your free place phone 01582 723312, Ext 6

Monday 12th, 8.00pm UCM meeting with Faith Supper in the lower room, St. Edward's Hall. New members always welcome.

Monday 12th, 7.00pm Rothwell Holy Trinity Church of England Church is hosting an ecumenical carol service. One of our young Rothwell members will be singing there.

Sunday 11th. Central Methodist Church invite you to their Circuit choir's performances of Roger Jones Christmas Musical "While Shepherds Watched" at 3pm and 6pm at School Lane. Entry free, but there is a retiring collection for the British Heart Foundation.

Tuesday 13th December, 6.00pm St. Thomas More School invite you to their "Carols and Candle Advent Service" at St. Edward's Church.

Wednesday 14th December St. Edwards Church. 10.00am Mass, followed by a day of prayer, culminating in a Penitential Service 7.30pm.

Thursday 15th December, 2.00pm The Rosary Group meet at St Nicholas Owen.

Friday 16th School Years 10/11 Film Night, at the Presbytery, 8.00pm to 10.00pm. Don’t have any supper as we’ll be ordering some Pizza in! Please let Fr Andy know if you can come, so that we have an idea of numbers. Thanks.

Saturday 17th December, 5.00pm and 7.00pm. St. Nicholas Owen Church, Burton Latimer, invite you to a Christmas Concert by the ‘Belcanto Choir’ £5, includes refreshments. This year there are two concerts, one at 5pm and one at 7pm. Phone Kerry on 414925 for tickets.
