The St Luke's Deanery and its Pastoral Council ceased to exist on 22nd May 2009

The eight Deaneries of the Diocese have been replaced by 13 "Pastoral Areas" each with a Dean in charge.

Kettering Parish,together with Oundle, Thrapston/Raunds, and the four Corby Parishes forms the new "North Northants Pastoral Area", The Dean is Canon John Koenig and the "Pastoral Area Link" ("PAL") is Paul King from Oundle Parish.

A Steering Committee is being formed to implement the "Review Phase" (September 2009 to January 2010) and then the "Groundplan Stage" (to be completed by Easter 2010) of the "Walking Humbly" process which started on 8th December 2007. Each Parish in the Deanery should have one representative on the Steering Committee and Kettering is represented by Peter Roberts.
