PENITENTIAL CONFESSIONS BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Thursday December 17th
As we cannot hold a full Penitential Service during Advent at the moment, I am opening the church twice on THURSDAY DECEMBER 17th to hear Confessions for those who wish, 10am to 12 noon and 5pm to 7pm.
Due to social distancing restrictions, we will not be able to use the confessionals. Confessions will be heard on the Sanctuary before the tabernacle, away from the main seating in church to ensure your privacy. I ask that you restrict your time in confession to ten minutes as I am not able to get help from other priests at this busy time. You will need to book your 10 minute slot by calling the dedicated booking line on:
0739 6606 881
Lines are open this Monday and Wednesday 9.30am to 12 to book your confession slot. The phone is not manned outside these hours. Please don’t telephone the presbytery as they will not be able to help you.
Please do not come to church too early – this time is reserved for the Sacrament of Reconciliation only, not for private prayers before or after your confession. Afterwards, leave the church in silence so that others can go to confession whilst maintaining social distance. This is to ensure privacy and minimise contact with others and to reduce the need for cleaning as there will be no stewards on that day. Thank you for your co-operation.
